After talking with my doctor about how high the results of my annual blood test levels were, I knew I had to make a change in my life. Once I decided to make a change in my eating habits, I called Marilyn to see if she could help me further. I have now gone to Marilyn for almost six months two days a week and the results have been overwhelming. Not only did my blood test numbers go down dramatically after three months, but I have lost 21 pounds and feel so much stronger in every way. Marilyn has me now doing exercises that, at 69 years old, I literally could not do when I started with her. Her encouragement and “toughness” have changed my life in many ways. Marilyn is always supportive and makes sure I am exercising properly and pushing myself beyond what I think I can do. I bought myself a jump rope, an exercise ball and some weights. I began personal training with Dana about six months ago and have seen my body change in ways I had not expected.
In addition to losing weight I have gained strength, agility, flexibility and most importantly confidence in myself. Training with Dana has allowed me to see what my body can do and become. He pushes you to reach your goals and then shows you how much further you can go, all while being an encouraging mentor.
Never once did he make me feel that I wasn’t fit enough or not trying hard enough, which was a great concern of mine when thinking of using a personal trainer.
